What is the Inglewood Elementary Alumni Scholarship?


The Inglewood Alumni Scholarship provides financial assistance to North Penn High School seniors who exhibit excellence in a well-rounded educational and extracurricular program. The scholarship is made possible by contributions to the Inglewood Elementary School Alumni Scholarship fund. The scholarship recipient is selected by the Inglewood Alumni Scholarship Committee which consists of current Inglewood Elementary School teachers.

How can I dontate to the Inglewood Scholarship Fund?


If you would like to donate to the scholarship fund in honor of a special faculty member, please complete the Inglewood Scholarship Donation Form.

Who is eligible for an Inglewood Elementary School Alumni Scholarship?


Any current North Penn High School senior who:

  • Attended Inglewood Elementary School for a minimum of three years.
  • Has not applied for an alumni scholarship from another elementary school in the North Penn School District.
  • Is planning to continue his/her education beyond high school in an accredited institution of higher education or in a technical school.
  • Has attained a minimum unweighted GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale so far during their high school years.


General Information:


1. The Inglewood Elementary School Alumni Scholarship Committee will consider the following for awarding the scholarship:

  • Academic achievement
  • Community service
  • Positive work ethic
  • School involvement
  • Obstacles overcome
  • Special talents and unique endeavors


2. The scholarship may be used at any institution of the recipient's choice and may be used at the recipient's discretion.

3. The scholarship recipient will be announced at the NPHS Senior Awards Ceremony and will receive the scholarship there. Amount of scholarship: $500.

Instructions for Submitting the Scholarship Application:


1. Complete all information on the Inglewood Elementary School Alumni Scholarship application.

2. Type or neatly print all information, additional pages may be attached if necessary, include your name on all information submitted.

3. Have your guidance counselor sign the application.

4. Along with the Inglewood Elementary School Alumni scholarship application, please submit:

  • Official high school transcript
  • Two references from teacher, school advisor, mentor, coach, or employer
  • Essay (make sure your name is on your essay)
  • Write a one page essay describing why you should receive the Inglewood Elementary School Alumni Scholarship. Direct your comments toward your involvement with the Inglewood Elementary School community and why Inglewood Elementary School was important to you. Include any other information that tells us your story.

in the Senior Awards bin by March 29, 2019.
